NOTES

A large, heavy, thick shell to 200 mm with a sharp, high spire which is usually eroded. The whorls have strong shoulders with spiral nodules and ridges. The outer lips has 10-12 teeth and the columella has low transverse ridges. Eats starfish and sea urchins and lives in intertidal rock pools and deeper water. Endemic.
