NOTES

Reaching 52 mm, this is a narrow shell with a high tapering spire, fine spiral striae and axial growth lines. The inner lip has a thin shiny callus which extends in a narrow band above the suture. Shallow grooves occur on the base. Edges of operculum serrated. An intertidal scavenger often seen on dead jelly fish.
