NOTES

A bulbous shell with a low, blunt spire which reaches 30 mm. The aperture is large and the body whorl is roundly shouldered. The outer lip is curved and the inner lip, which has a thick callus, forms a large rounded parietal thickening. The columella is concave. Lives in 30-160 m of water and preys on molluscs and also scavenges.
