NOTES

Reaching 58 mm, this shell has elongate valves which are higher at the posterior than at the anterior end. The ventral margin is concave. Fine radial threads are crossed by concentric growth lines. Lives at low-tide level attached by byssus threads to the underside of rocks in sandy pools. A filter feeder.
