NOTES

A heavy, oval to trigonal shell with a short tapering posterior end. Grows to 65 mm. Has weak radial striae and wavy concentric ridges in the postero-dorsal region. The inner margin has weak teeth. Burrows in sand in the intertidal region where it sucks in particles through the siphon.
