NOTES

Adult male bagworms lack mouthparts and so are short lived. They fly about rapidly looking for females which are wingless, eyeless and legless and never leave their larval cases. The females lay eggs within the case before dying. The newly hatched larvae construct cases of vegetable matter which they carry around while they feed.
