NOTES

An oval, elongate shell to 65 mm with a tapering posterior end. The valves are compressed and bent to the right with the left valve deeper than the right. Has weak radial grooves and fine concentric threads. Sucks particles from the surface of the sand in which it burrows left side down. Lives at a depth of about 3 m.
