A dioecious plant with velvety hairs on the young parts. The trifoliate leaves have elliptic, crenate leaflets with hairs in the vein axils on the under surface. At first glance looks like a Searsia species. Fruit eaten by Sombre Greenbull. The wood is white, hard and dense and suitable for cabinet work
